Broad Spectrum Pesticides

Broad Spectrum pesticides are pesticides that are designed to kill a wide range of animals. They are non-selective and often lethal to reptiles, fish, pets, and birds as well as the insects that they were originally targeted to eliminate. Some, like Chlorpyrifos, are 100 times as toxic as Chlordane, yet used in over the counter products available at the local grocery store. The danger to you and to your children by storing such products in and around your home outweighs any benefits that these chemicals could offer to you.
